1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Browsers also offer local storage, which works in a similar way for settings kept on your device. This page covers both.
2. What QMP sets
| Name | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
sessionid | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. | Essential, first party, expires with your session |
csrftoken | Protects forms and actions from being triggered by other sites. | Essential, first party |
Browser storage on your device also remembers small preferences, such as whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed, whether queue sounds are on, and which alerts you have already seen in this visit. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
3. Notifications
If you allow push notifications, your browser stores a subscription used to deliver them, and a service worker is installed so alerts can arrive when the page is closed. You can turn this off in your browser's site settings at any time.
4. Third party content
Pages load some resources from other providers, such as fonts from Google Fonts and icon or chart libraries from jsDelivr. These providers can see your IP address when your browser fetches them. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its sign in page. We do not control those, and they are covered by Google's policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies above, you will not be able to sign in or submit forms on QMP.
6. Changes
If we add a new cookie or storage use, we will update this page and the date above.
